Introduction to Computer Science at CMU
Central Michigan University's Department of Computer Science offers a master's degree program in Computer Science and bachelor's degree programs in both Computer Science and Information Technology. The department is composed of 15.5 Faculty Positions, whose teaching and research include artificial intelligence, computer architectures, computer graphics, database management systems, distributed systems and computer networks, image processing and computer vision, multimedia, operating systems, programming languages, and compilers and software engineering.
Students in the program will be using computing facilities that include a UNIX/LINUX workstation lab, general PC labs, and various special purpose labs for computer graphics, software engineering, operating systems, computer networks, and databases.
The Computer Science Computer Center is located on the fourth floor of Pearce Hall. It is available for students to work on their programs, research projects and independent studies guided by faculty.
